Diet, Attitude Adjustments

March 7, 2014 — 8:42pm
I have adopted a vegetarian diet for at least five days a week. I limit my dairy products to yogurt and hard cheese no more than twice a week. I have found moderation and flexibility to be the most valuable attitudes to take in treating my psoriasis. It has developed into psoriatic arthritis, which flares... Read more »

Diet and Arbonne products

March 20, 2013 — 9:50pm
I have had psoriasis for 19 years and have been frustrated beyond belief. I had constant flare-ups with strep when my children were young, causing psoriasis to cover 50% of my body. I have learned to eat no red meat, a Mediterranean diet, eating all the top 10 foods from “What Would Jesus Eat” book.... Read more »

Juicing

February 25, 2013 — 8:14pm
I’ve had a small patch of psoriasis on my elbow for 40 years. Two years ago I starting juicing organic vegetables and made organic fruit smoothies. That was my diet for 6 weeks. There was NO OTHER FOOD. Afterwards, the small quarter-size patch disappeared. The patch remained gone for probably 6 months but then gradually... Read more »

Eliminating foods

February 12, 2013 — 8:06pm
I have found eliminating certain foods in my diet is the best way to control psoriasis. I am 32 years old and have suffered from severe psoriasis since I was nine. I have never been psoriasis free. After my dermatologist recommended a biologic, I found a book called “Spot Free in 30 Days.” It is... Read more »

Since having gastric bypass surgery about a year and a half ago, I have cut out all beef, refined sugar, bread (especially white bread) and fried foods. I started to notice that the psoriasis on my hands was clearing up and with just a little boost from a topical steroid ointment, all the other psoriasis... Read more »

My 6 punch knock out!

January 21, 2013 — 10:40pm
I recently had a quite large flare up on my leg – the first in 7 years. I thought I had it beat, but here it was again. So here’s what I did: NO meat other than fish. NO dairy. Omega 3,6, 9 supplements, exercise, meditation (learned all these here). And lastly at a health... Read more »

January 18, 2013 — 7:13pm
At the age of 53, my psoriasis has virtually disappeared. First, three years ago I began adjusting my diet and focusing on whole grains (bread, cereal, pasta), low saturated fats like olive oil and flaxseed oil, nuts (all natural peanut butter mixed with a little molasses, cashews), salmon and tuna for omega 3 oils, 1%... Systemics, Diet and Psoriatic Arthritis

December 3, 2012 — 9:40pm
I am on Enbrel and Methotexate (8 tablets weekly) My skin is the clearest it has been in 12 years. My joints still ache, but I can move fairly well. For a while I could barely climb stairs. My toes and fingers are the most bothersome, especially when it’s humid outside. I tried the gluten-free... Read more »
