Tanning and emu oil

I have guttate psoriasis which once covered about 75% of my body. I was feeling hopeless. It was mentally and physically painful. After a particularly itchy week I relented and tried dabbing DOAK oil on my spots with a cotton ball. The itching stopped right away... Read more »

Tonsil removal

December 26, 2012 — 10:02pm
My daughter Lindsay developed guttate psoriasis at age 9. She was often covered from inside her ears to her toes; it was heartbreaking. We used numerous creams, light treatments and methotrexate over the years. Our new dermatologist recommended removing Lindsay’s tonsils after she tested positive for strep during one of her bad flareups. The throat... Read more »

December 19, 2012 — 8:50pm
My psoriasis was starting to get bad at the end of 2010. I was resigned to the fact that it was winter and I’d just have to deal with it, as I was still nursing my toddler. I had a physical scheduled with my doctor in the beginning 2011 and she did some routine blood... Read more »
