I noticed that every time I spent a lot of time in the pool my plaque psoriasis cleared up remarkably faster & better than when I was simply using Temovate or Diprolene 2 times a day. Even my scalp–which is thickly covered–improved in the pool.
When our local YMCA closed the pool for a week to do maintenance, my psoriasis flared badly. I decided to try a small capful of household chlorine in a tub of warm water–soaking for 20-30 minutes. Within 2 days my plaques were free of scales and the redness reduced dramatically! I am going to continue this and see if it clears my psoriasis–I’ll keep you posted! Just be careful with the chlorine & don’t use very much!
Chlorine is an astringent chemical that can easily irritate psoriasis symptoms; many people with psoriasis find that pools and chlorinated tap water furthers their symptoms.
