Cutting down on beef

January 28, 2013 — 12:15am

For the last 14 months or so, I have been using ground turkey (85/15 lean to fat ratio) instead of beef. I use it just like beef; burgers, spaghetti sauce, soups, chili, etc… I may have a hamburger or steak once or twice a month.

Before, I was breaking out year-round, some days a lot worse than others, to the point of being miserable. I haven’t had a flare since I started replacing the beef. I used to eat beef almost daily, and this is the only thing that I have changed in my life, so that is why I wonder if the beef was causing my flare-ups.

  • Try the engine 2 diet. I did this for 6 months to lose weight not treat my psoriasis.
After losing 25 solid fat pounds i noticed my wounds stopped scaling and healed completely. Me and my wife were shocked. I repeat no medical treatment or salves worked at all. Research is now showing that meat and dairy related to your digestive system as a whole can be responsible for plaque psoriasis. I am happy to say if you are strong willed enough to follow a no meat no dairy and fried foods diet you will start healing.Lets face it i started eating limited meat and dairy the last 6 months to see what happens. It came back on elbows but not knees and legs. Elbows is very little at all but there. I use olive oil only on to stop scaling. I will say my skin no longer itches at all anywhere. I suffered 8 years . not ant longer.

  • My mother had very bad psoriasis that eventually covered 90% of her body during a severe flare up. At one point she went on a diet of turkey, white potatoes, grapefruit, and asparagus. This was to totally eliminate one specific amino acid. The results were remarkable, but after six months she couldn’t stand the limited diet.

I guess this is the same idea.
