Scalp Psoriasis Help

April 15, 2014 — 6:16pm

My 12-year-old son has been struggling with scalp psoriasis for the last few years. We found a good solution in the combination of shampooing with Neem Tree Oil Shampoo (from Neem Tree Farms, which we read about in It Works For Me last year) and a prescription-strength salicylic acid shampoo, alternating each day. After using the salicylic acid shampoo over long periods, his hair weakens and becomes very thin, so I started looking for a hair strengthening shampoo to add to the mix. I found it in Nature’s Gate’s Biotin Strengthening Shampoo (sulfate free). But more than just strengthening his hair, the Nature’s Gate shampoo has completely controlled his psoriasis — there is no sign of it whatsoever on his scalp, and his hair has never looked healthier. Even better, he doesn’t need to use the salicylic acid shampoo at all anymore — he only uses the Biotin Strengthening Shampoo.

  • I don’t know how to post a tip, but three times in my 30 year bout of psoriasis, when I avoided eating and drinking anything sweet, it went away. I stopped all sugars 28 days ago, and it’s almost all gone. Please try that, no sugars, or sweet food and drinks.

  • if i may ask you, is biotin streathening shampoo available in drugstore anywhere?thanks!
