Diet, Attitude Adjustments

March 7, 2014 — 8:42pm
I have adopted a vegetarian diet for at least five days a week. I limit my dairy products to yogurt and hard cheese no more than twice a week. I have found moderation and flexibility to be the most valuable attitudes to take in treating my psoriasis. It has developed into psoriatic arthritis, which flares […] Read more »

Exercise for Arthritis

I have psoriatic arthritis. I would like to recommend Jazzercise to your readers for arthritis. Jazzercise is great because it can be varied to be as low impact or as high impact as you need, and the instructors are very knowledgeable about ways to adjust each exercise to the individual’s needs, whether those needs include […] Read more »

De-stressing

April 4, 2013 — 5:01pm
8 months ago, my normally mild psoriasis got extremely severe and covered 98% of my body.  I had 4 different types of psoriasis, and no creams were helping whatsoever.  I was breastfeeding so i started exercising. 2 months later I was 100 clear! I have suffered with pretty bad skin for about 17 years now. I tried everything and found some of the best remedies to be the natural alternatives: 1. After showering, a blend of jojoba oil, with lavender (10 drops), cedarwood (5 drops) and bergamot (3 drops) really helped to heal and prevent outbreaks. 2. Keep […] Read more »

Bye bye chicken!

February 4, 2013 — 6:31pm
I admit that chicken is good, but to me it’s worth giving up because it just triggers my psoriasis. What also works for me are: soy milk, regular exercise, sunlight and THINKING HAPPY THOUGHTS! Read more »

Treating scalp

January 18, 2013 — 7:21pm
I spent a long time trying to figure out how to treat my severe scalp psoriasis. Here is what finally worked for me: 1) I went to a top-of-the-line dermatologist. It cost me extra money in the short run (top derms in my city don’t take insurance) but it was SO worth it. It was […] Read more »
