Lanolin for Feet

February 24, 2014 — 4:41pm
After a trip to the state fair in Minnesota, I now use Merino Lanolin Skin Creme on the soles of my feet. I apply it every day before I put my socks on. My primary care physician said today, “What do you use? I know how bad your feet used to look.” Most of the […] Read more »

Chapstick’s the Saviour

February 14, 2013 — 12:18am
I have mild lesions on back of my hand. I apply moisturizing cream in the morning which goes off partially after washing. After that, I usually cover with lipbalm chapstick which are very handy to carry in your pockets. This works well until I return home to apply my regular moisturizer. Read more »

I’m 16, and I’ve had psoriasis for 13 years. A couple of summers ago, my psoriasis got so bad I could barely walk. My dermatologist recommended that I do phototherapy. After a few months of doing this, it cleared my skin some, but made my skin very dry. I went to see my regular doctor, […] Read more »

Sunbathing and a psychologist

December 28, 2012 — 7:00pm
I’m 22 years old and I’ve had psoriasis since I was 15. I’ve tried it all, and the only thing that really works for me is sunbathing for 1 hour (in the morning) everyday in summer. In winter I only use moisturizer (Nivea Body Lotion) and it helps more than anything else. I’ve also been […] Read more »

What I’ve found is the BEST for my feet is to keep plastic bags covering them 24/7. I buy the food storage bags with ties. So here’s my procedure: at night, I put vaseline or babyoil on my feet, or zinc oxide with the baby oil, then put on a bag, then lightweight bed-time socks, […] Read more »

Turmeric and a moisturizer

December 14, 2012 — 9:29pm
I find that adding tumeric to my diet helps keep psoriasis outbreaks down to a minimum. First check with your doctor before consuming it because of its properties.
